It’s always an honor when we are asked to participate in final military honors. Today we have the privilege of honoring veteran Jack S. Schreuder.

In the summer of 1986, Jack answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served as an Amphibious Reconnaissance Force One Marine, stationed in San Diego and later deployed to Okinawa, Japan. His years in the Marines instilled in him the discipline, integrity, and commitment that would define every aspect of his life.

Thank you for your service, Sir.

Today, many ALR families came together including Chapters 509, 18, 100, 147, as well as Spartan Brotherhood, and other veteran riders to give final military honors to Matthew John Giraldes.

Matthew served proudly in the US Marine Corps. He enlisted at 17 years old, completed four years of active duty, and re-enlisted as a reservist for the remainder of his life. His dedication to the Corps was of the highest standards, by all accounts of those who served alongside him. Staff Sergeant Matthew Giraldes strove to envelope what it means to be a United States Marine. He served two deployments to the Middle East, plus a humanitarian mission to Jamaica.

Never forget 🇺🇸

21 to 27 September is Gold Star Families Remembrance Week, a solemn time dedicated to honoring the surviving families of our fallen service members.

While Memorial Day remembers the heroes we lost, this week recognizes the heavy burden carried by the mothers, fathers, spouses, children, and siblings that are left behind. Let us remember their sacrifice and pledge our enduring support to those who gave their all for our freedom.
