Lena Police Department Hosts Annual Shop With A Cop Program
The Shop With A Cop program was launched Lena in the fall of 2017.
This heartwarming program is designed to strengthen connections between local police officers and the younger generation. Children participating in the program are given the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for their families, accompanied by law enforcement officers. On Saturday, December 13th, Chief Herald and Macy Herald, picked up a child and took them Christmas shopping at Target in Ashwaubenon. Afterward, they enjoyed lunch together at McGuire's Restaurant in the Village of Lena, followed by wrapping the gifts at the police department.
This year's Shop With A Cop was made possible through generous donations from anonymous community members. The Lena Police Department extends heartfelt thanks to these donors for their support, as well as to the families of the participating children. We hope everyone had a wonderful time, and we look forward to future collaborations that continue to foster community spirit.
For those interested in supporting the program for next year, donations can be made at the Lena Police Department. Please feel free to stop by and speak with Chief Herald or any officer on duty.
Wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday season!
