Users and visitors to our social media sites are notified that the intended purpose of the City of Lenexa’s social media is to serve as a mechanism for communication between the City and its residents. The City maintains its posts as limited public forums and reserves the right to restrict or remove any content that is deemed in violatio
n of this social media policy and any applicable law. Comments on posts containing any of the following are not allowed and will be deleted when possible:
>Comments not topically related to the article being commented upon.
>Comments in support of or in opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures.
>Profane language or content.
>Content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation.
>Sexual content or links to sexual content.
>Commercial solicitation.
>Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity.
>Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public.
>Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party.
