Loudon County Habitat for Humanity (LCHFH) is applying for Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) funds with the Rural Housing Service (RHS), a Rural Development agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA RD). LCHFH’s purpose with these grant funds is to perform critical home repairs for seniors and individuals with disabilities who reside in low and very low-income households within Loudon County.

Pursuant to 7 CFR part 1944, subpart N, the proposed Statement of Activities and project objectives are available for public review and inspection. Individuals wishing to review the intended use and the statement of activities, or provide comments regarding whether LCHFH should receive these grant funds, may do so by reviewing the documents at the address below, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM or by contacting Tony Gibbons:

Public comments will be accepted from August 12, 2026 through August 31, 2026. The deadline to submit a support letter is August 31, 2026.

LCHFH’s request is for a competitive application process under the USDA RD’s HPG program. This action is taken to comply with USDA RD regulations. LCHFH is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry that brings affordable housing solutions for low-income families. LCHFH abides by EOE and federal fair housing regulations.

On Thursday, August 13, Handbags for Habitat will transform The Venue at Lenoir City into an evening of dinner, entertainment and the thrill of the draw—all benefiting Loudon County Habitat for Humanity.

Throughout the evening, 100 lucky raffle participants will be called to choose from 100 handbags. Once every bag has been claimed, they'll be opened at the same time for the big reveal.

Which bags will hold jewelry, gift cards, hotel stays and local experiences? And who will uncover the grand prize? That suspense is part of the fun.

Even better, every ticket helps local families in Loudon and Monroe counties build the strength, stability and opportunity that begin with a safe, affordable home.

Raffle participation tickets are $200 and include dinner, entertainment and entry into the drawing. A limited number of dinner-only tickets are available for $100.

We are thrilled to share the launch of “Homes for Hometown Vets” in partnership with U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.

This program is designed to help veterans and service members build a path to affordable homeownership through LCHFH’s homebuyer program and USDA lending support. For families who have served our country, it is one more way our community can come together to build stability, opportunity, and a place to call home.

We are excited for what partnerships like this, and local our supporters Peoples Bank Of East Tennessee make possible, we are honored to help bring it to life right here in East Tennessee.

A huge thank you to the Community Church at Tellico Village Men's Fellowship for inviting Loudon County Habitat for Humanity to be part of your Wing Ding event this past weekend!

Our Development Director, Rachel Rendon, had a wonderful time sharing updates about Habitat's work in Loudon County, including the progress at Hilltop Hideaway, our upcoming Faith Build, and the future CCTV-sponsored home. It was especially exciting to see so many members tour the neighborhood and learn more about the impact their support and volunteerism will have on local families.
