Can You Help Us Identify This Individual?

The Myrtle Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual who was found deceased within the City of Myrtle Beach without identification, a phone, or any other identifying belongings, or tattoos. The individual was recovered on August 8, 2026 in the 1000 block of Highway 501.

Investigators have searched local, state, and federal databases but have not been able to identify the individual.

The image accompanying this post is a forensic postmortem illustration intended to provide a representation of the individual’s possible appearance. It is not an exact likeness, and the individual’s actual appearance may have varied.

If you recognize this individual or have any information that may help investigators determine their identity, please contact MCpl. Christopher M. Voegele at 843-918-1959.

Even a small piece of information could help us give this individual a name and provide answers to those who may be looking for them.

Gaston County Police has seen an uptick in cases involving scammers defrauding people of thousands of dollars. These scammers can be convincing and often use fear, urgency, and threats to pressure victims into acting quickly.

They may claim you owe money, that you or a loved one are involved in a crime, or that fraudulent activity has been detected on your account.

If you receive a suspicious call or text:

Hang up. You are not required to stay on the phone.

Verify the caller independently. Contact your bank, agency, or business using a trusted, official phone number.

Talk to someone you trust before sending or moving money.

Protect your information. Never provide passwords, PINs, security codes, or account access.

Never send money through gift cards, prepaid cards, Cash App, cryptocurrency, or a Bitcoin ATM at the direction of an unexpected and unknown caller.

Remember: Urgency, threats, and demands for secrecy are major red flags.

When in doubt, hang up, verify, and ask for help. Taking a few extra minutes could protect you from losing thousands of dollars.

**MEDIA RELEASE - SHOOTING INVESTIGATION**

The Huntersville Police Department is requesting the community's assistance in identifying a vehicle suspected of being involved in a shooting into an occupied residence.

On Wednesday, Aug. 19, at approximately 11:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 15000 block of Seafield Lane. An unidentified white mid-sized SUV was observed discharging rounds into an occupied home. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle fled the scene immediately following the incident.

Detectives believe the suspect vehicle may have traveled through the Stone Hollow neighborhood shortly before the shooting.

Residents in the Stone Hollow subdivision and surrounding areas are urged to review home security, doorbell, or dashcam footage captured during this timeframe. Look for a white mid-sized SUV moving through the neighborhood between 11:40 p.m. and midnight.

Anyone with video footage, witness reports, or information regarding this incident is asked to contact Huntersville Police Detective Hardy immediately at 704-464-5385, or submit an anonymous tip through North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-896-7867.

, : Then 13y/o Ja’Niyah is STILL MISSING and was last seen on August 12, 2024, near the 1900 block of Malcolm X Drive, wearing black pajama pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and red and black shoes. The FBI, City of Gary, and an anonymous donor are offering a $30K for information leading to the arrest & conviction of the individual(s) responsible for her disappearance.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) involved in this bank robbery.

On April 22, 2026, at approximately 9:36 a.m., an unknown male wearing a surgical mask entered the First Bank, 701 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, Virginia, approached a teller, and demanded money. Although the suspect did not present a weapon, the teller observed a bulge in the suspect’s pocket and believed that he was armed with a firearm. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled on foot towards the Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
