Lawrence County Fire Rescue members are pleased to announce that the application process for our new Junior Firefighter Program will open in mid to late September! We will share more details on the program and the application process in the near future!

For the month of July we responded to 26 calls for service. This includes 3 structure fires, 8 vehicles accidents, and 8 medical assist calls. This has been our busiest month of the year so far. For our members, 2 started the Emergency Medical Responder course provided by Lawrence County EMS and 2 finished up their EMT course at North West Shoals. We are very thankful for their sacrifice of time and effort to complete these courses and wish them luck on their National Registry tests.

Today, as of 6pm, Lawrence County Fire Rescue units have responded to 7 calls for service. Included in the call count is two motor vehicle injury crashes, a mutual aid swift water rescue response, a heavy equipment fire, a commercial fire alarm activation, and two high priority medical calls.
