LEOMINSTER — Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts proudly presented keys to a single mom and her three kids who now have a new place to live at a Jan. 8 home dedication ceremony in the city.
“Today is a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose,” Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts (NCM) Executive Director Carolyn Read said at the special event. “This home represents stability, hope, and opportunity for Gwen and her family, and we are deeply grateful to our partners, volunteers, and supporters who made this moment possible.”
The home is the result of strong community partnerships and generous support. Habitat for Humanity NCM expresses sincere appreciation to the many supporters who helped make this home a reality, including the City of Leominster, North Central Massachusetts Housing Authority, North Central Massachusetts Community Foundation, Amica, The Law Office of David Rocheford Jr., McCarty Companies, Brideau Energy, EXIT Assurance Realty, architect Luke McKneally, Wells Fargo, Leominster Housing Authority, Fitchburg’s Division of Housing and Development, Adobe, Charlesbank Homes Foundation, MMBA, Whirlpool, IC Credit Union, and Granite City Electric.

In addition, a special thank you is extended to the large group of students and instructors from the Leominster Center for Technical Education Innovation for their hard work and dedication to the house project, as well as Hannaford and AllTown Fresh for generously providing delicious treats for the celebration.
Habitat for Humanity NCM offers a hand up, not a handout, to hard-working, low-income families seeking affordable homeownership. Affordable homes are built in partnership with families, donors, and volunteers who share the organization’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
They wish Gwen and her family “a lifetime of happiness and cherished memories in their new home” and reported that construction on a new multifamily home in Acton will be taking place soon.
