On Saturday May 2nd, the City of Leominster will be hosting a site walk for community members to visit potential nature-based solutions sites.

🪏🌱 So what are nature-based solutions anyways? We’ve got you covered. Nature-based solutions (NbS) help reduce flooding by working with the land to soak up and safely carry stormwater during heavy rains. These landscape efforts make flooding less severe across the community.

Swipe through to see a few examples and join us this weekend for more information. RSVP here → https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1987364211856?aff=oddtdtcreator

Attend the Flood Solutions Forum TONIGHT - January 21 - at 6:00 PM! Add your voice to the conversation about reducing flood risk and community vulnerability in Leominster

Since the record-breaking floods of September 2023, The Montachusett Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) and the City of Leominster have worked to understand the local challenges in the aftermath and in developing strategies to mitigate damage from future disasters with lived experiences at the center.

The Flood Solutions Forum is a step in building local climate resilience, reducing risk, and mitigating vulnerabilities through a better understanding of the relationships between our built environment and the impacts of climate-influenced natural hazards.
