🔴Family Kickball is back this Fall at Chancellor's Run Regional Park on Sunday, October 11 from 10:00am-12:00pm. This family friendly game of kickball is for parents/grandparents (or other family members/friends!) and children ages 5-12.

👕Participants will receive a T-shirt, with a guaranteed T-shirt size provided if you register BEFORE September 1!

🏆Registration is $20 and includes one adult and one child, and additional participants can be registered for $10 each. Teams will be determined on game day. Don't delay, registration closes when the maximum number of participants is reached!

📢Pop-Up Spin Class: This Saturday, August, 29 from 11:00-11:30am at the Wellness & Aquatics Center in Leonardtown!

🚲Experience a high-energy, music-driven indoor cycling class designed to elevate your cardio routine into an uplifting, full-body workout. $5 admission at the door, and a WAC membership is NOT required.

🫀Guided by an instructor with more than 18 years of instruction experience, this rhythm-based ride lets you control your own resistance, making it fully adaptable and empowering for every age and fitness level. Come clear your mind, build endurance, and tap into the shared energy of a fun, supportive ride.

🗓Starting September 1, a weekly Spin Class will be held at WAC on Tuesday afternoons at 4:30pm. This is just one of many group fitness programs that you have access to as a WAC member!

🏊‍♀️Are you interested in working as a lifeguard? The Wellness & Aquatics Center has just added a new Lifeguard Certification Course with Prequalification Swim times taking place this Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30. Ages 15 & up are eligible!

🗓The certification course runs September 1-12: Tuesday & Thursday evenings and two full Saturdays.

🫁American Red Cross lifeguard training and certification includes First Aid, CPR and AED training, and is valid for two years upon completion and accepted nationwide.

💦This course is designed to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. You will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries. This will be an instructor-lead class. There will be no online coursework to complete. All dates are mandatory to complete the class.

🐕What better way to celebrate National Dog Day than to visit one of the four Dog Parks located throughout St. Mary's County? Enclosed Dog Park play areas are available at:

🐾Lancaster Park
🦴Seventh District Park

🦮All county parks are pet friendly. When not in the enclosed Dog Park areas, or in the water at the three Waterfront Parks, all pets must be kept on a leash and in control by the owner at all times. Please keep pets off athletic fields. And remember, you must clean up after your pet!
