SMCHD recognizes June as Gun Violence Awareness Month, highlighting the impact of gun violence on public health. Today, as a community, we honor survivors, remember lives lost, and raise awareness about the impact of gun violence in our communities.

Alongside our community partners, SMCHD is committed to supporting prevention efforts through the Group Violence Intervention (GVI) program, education, and outreach to promote safety for all our residents. Learn more about local efforts at gvi.smchd.org.
