Around 22:20 hours Engine 10 (6 Personnel), Squad 1 (4 personnel), and Chief 1A responded and operated in the 21550 block of Port Ct in Company 3s first due response area. Both units were dispatched as the Working Incident Task force units.

Engine 10 arrived on the scene initiating a water supply from a hydrant, while Engine 73 established the hydrant to ensure a continuous water supply. Due to close proximity and GPMs from the area hydrants, Engine 91 assisted with supplying Engine 10.

Engine 10s crew deployed a 400 foot attack line to side Alpha waiting for an assignment. Engine 10s crew was later assigned to Division 1, and operated under the direction of Engine 10s Officer who was assigned division 1 supervision. Both Engine 10, and Squad 1 conducted extinguishment, and overhaul.

Both units were placed in service and returned to Leonardtown.

A Special Marine Warning has been issued for the Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island and from Cobb Island to Smith Point until 5:30 PM EDT.

A strong thunderstorm capable of producing wind gusts over 34 knots (39+ mph) is moving east at around 10 knots. The storm was located just west of Colonial Beach at 4:37 PM.

Boaters should move to safe harbor immediately. Sudden strong winds and rough waves can quickly become dangerous, especially for smaller vessels.

Truck 1 with 4 Men are currently filling in with ET54 from Seventh District VFD for North Beach VFD while their members attend their 100th Anniversary celebration!

*Engine 10, Truck 1, Engine Tanker 74, Engine 71, Engine Tanker 14 responding

*Truck 1 and Engine 71 cancelled, no services needed from them. Tankers still proceeding for additional water

*Approximately 7-8 hay bales on fire, were in the barn but have been taken out

Thanks to the help of quick neighbors and some phone calls, these bales were able to be removed from the structure before the barn became involved, leaving little damage inside.

Utilizing the homeowners and their tractors to help break up the hay, crews soaked everything down and worked to extinguish all hot spots.

This evening at 2118 hours, the Truck 1 was alerted to 911 Washington Avenue in La Plata for the Truck fill-in at La Plata Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. Truck 1 responded with 5 personnel to provide coverage while their crews battled a large detached garage fire in their first due.

While Truck 1 was in La Plata, Engine 10 was first alerted to the 22000 block of Van Wert Lane for a Commercial Fire Alarm.

After Engine 10 cleared that call and returned to quarters, they were shortly after dispatched to the 23000 block of Leonard Hall Drive for the Unknown Odor Investigation. Engine 10 responded with 4 personnel. Chief 3B arrived and established command, making E10 and Truck 7 the investigation group upon arrival.

Engine 10 along with Truck 7, HazMat 13, HazMat 18, Station 19 and Ambulance 798 were alerted to meter the building to ensure that the building was safe. Multiple sets of meters were ran through the building with normal readings throughout, and crews later returned to service.
