Despite the off-and-on rain, National Night Out 2026 was another incredible evening spent connecting with the citizens of St. Mary’s County! 🌧️💙

Rain or shine, our Troopers were proud to be out in the community, meeting families, answering questions, sharing a few laughs, and strengthening the partnerships that make our county such a great place to live.

The Leonardtown Barrack was proud to have 10 Troopers participating at National Night Out locations across St. Mary’s County. We were also grateful to have Troopers from the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division join us throughout the evening, further demonstrating the Maryland State Police’s commitment to serving and engaging with our communities.

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent the evening with us. Your support and conversations are what make National Night Out one of our favorite community events each year, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

A huge thank you to the Maryland State Police - Prince Frederick Barrack "U" for inviting some of our Troopers to be part of Camp C.O.P.S. in Calvert County last week!

First Sergeant Ruth, Corporal Johnson, and Senior Trooper Piscopo-Bann (not pictured) had a great time spending time with an incredible group of kids, building relationships, sharing laughs, and giving them a firsthand look at law enforcement.

Camp C.O.P.S. (Courage to be Outstanding with Pride and Self-confidence) introduces youth to the role of law enforcement through hands-on experiences designed to build confidence, encourage responsible decision-making, and strengthen positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities we serve.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a meaningful program in Calvert County and appreciate the Prince Frederick Barrack for including us. We're already looking forward to next year!

Just a reminder we are still accepting donations through July 15th.

This is a time of year where food pantries face their greatest need. Families with children who had been receiving free or reduced cost breakfast and lunch at school need to find a way to replace those meals during summer break so they turned to their local food pantries for assistance.

We hope you will join us in this effort and consider making a donation of non perishable items. Our lobby is open 24/7 for donation drop offs.

Donations of non-perishable food items are being collected at the Leonardtown Barrack until July 15th to help support our local families in need. Any donations mentioned on the flyer are greatly appreciated! Thank you for your continued support.
