The Leonardville City Library Board is pleased to welcome Kayd Price as the new librarian.

As we begin this new chapter, we also continue to hold deep gratitude and respect for Peggy Grater, whose dedication and care for the library and community left a lasting impact. Her service helped shape what our library is today, and we are proud to pass the torch onto Kayd!

Words from Kayd: “I’m so excited to join the Leonardville Library as the new Director and Librarian! I come from a background in small business, creative arts, and community-centered work, and I’m passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people of all ages can learn, connect, and explore. I’m especially looking forward to helping families and children dig into stories, creativity, and discovery through our ‘Unearth a Story’ summer reading program and beyond. I’m excited to become part of this wonderful community and all the stories still waiting to be uncovered together!”

We are excited for the future of our library and hope you will join us in giving Kayd a warm Leonardville welcome. 📚

With heavy hearts we continue to mourn the passing of our dearly beloved librarian, Peggy. She was dedicated to serve the community and created opportunities and outreach to bring people into our library and extend our services. While no one can replace Peggy, we are needing someone to carry on the outreach and opportunities that our amazing little library can offer.

If you are passionate about books, serving people, and creating a love for learning, we would love for you to consider joining us and apply. We would love to carry on Peggy's memory by continuing to have our library be a welcoming and active space

Applications can be picked up at the Leonardville City Office.

It is with a sad and heavy heart that we share with you our dear librarian, Peggy, will be laid to rest today. We are heartbroken and ask that you keep her family in your thoughts. She will be dearly missed and has made a great impact on the library and community.
