We’d like to thank Leonia Police Department for being our special guests at storytime this week! Sergeant Goodell and Officer Cho came to read some stories, sing some songs, and tell us about how they keep our community safe! This is a part of a series of special storytime guests so keep an eye out for our next one!

They also brought over their police cruiser for the kids to check out and take pictures with! We had some big fans of the lights and sirens!

가정의 달을 맞아 마련된 한국 도서 전시를 만나보세요!

지난달 특별 저자 강연으로 도서관을 방문해 주셨던 Sun Kim 작가님의 신간 도서를 소개하게 되어 매우 기쁩니다. 이 책은 아이들의 정서적 건강과 건강한 가족 관계 형성에 대한 깊이 있는 통찰을 담고 있으며, 지역 사회 여러분께 꼭 추천드리고 싶은 도서입니다. 💛

또한 내일 오후 6시 30분에 열리는 월간 북클럽에서는『H마트에서 울다 / Crying in H Mart』에 대한 독후감과 이야기를 함께 나눌 예정입니다. 관심 있으신 분들은 참여해주세요!

This month, we're highlighting a selection of Korean books centered on family relationships, parenting, self-care, and family stories in celebration of Family Month, which is widely observed in Korean culture during the month of May.

We’re proud to feature the newest publication by Sun Kim, who visited our library last month for a special author talk. Her thoughtful work explores children’s emotional well-being and the importance of building healthy family dynamics.

In addition, we’re excited to discuss "Crying in H Mart" at our monthly book club tomorrow evening. Join us at 6:30pm in the program room if you're available—we’d love to have you there!

Come check out our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month display in the children's area!

A special thank you to author Stephanie S. Lee for generously donating copies of her books "Mina's Magical Painting Book," "Mina and the Moon Rabbits," and "The Clever Rabbit & the Sea Palace" to enrich our multicultural children's collection here at Leonia Public Library. Through storytelling and illustration, her work introduces young readers to Korean folklore and traditional folk painting (Minhwa).

We invite children and families to discover diverse stories that spark curiosity, imagination, and cultural appreciation.

Any KPop Demon Hunters fans in the house?

Come visit the library and explore our book displays throughout the month of May! Browse recommendations for fans looking to dive into more stories that capture the spirit of the animated global hit Netflix film, or stop by our Seed Library to pick up some seeds and take a gardening book or two home with you.

We have plenty more in store as well, including Booker Prize-winning titles, books and media set in the nostalgic world of the ’90s, and Space Day reads and discoveries.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, learn more about our programs and services, and share in the fun. We loved seeing you there!

Our Seed Library has officially launched this week! Stop by the library and explore our collection of free seeds for flowers, herbs, and vegetables.🌼🥕🌿

Pick up a few seed varieties, start your garden, and watch them grow all spring and summer long. Just stop by the main circulation desk and ask a staff member about the seed library to browse and select the seeds you'd like.
