We will always love you Dolly! Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has provided 332 Millon free books to children. This amazing service is available in Wichita County Kansas. Any child from birth to age 5 can sign up for a free book a month that will be mailed to your home. We have paper sign-ups at the library or you can sign up online at https://imaginationlibrary.com/check-availability/

Thank you to Leoti's Community Thrift Shoppe for the $2,000 donation which provided for this year's Summer Library Program. We had a record number of 34 kids completing the program this year. 25 kids earned 10 free fair tickets. Owen Schmidt won 1st place with 7,000 minutes read. Mesa Owens won 2nd place with 4.020 minutes. Kaydee Mazanec won 3rd with 4,000 minutes. John Gerstberger came in 4th with 3,000 minutes. We had a 3 way tie for 5th place; Hudson Wishon, Garret Morefield and Garrix Burch all read 2,000 minutes. Tonya Schmidt won the adult program and earned a $50.00 gift card from Leoti Foods. Thank you everyone for an amazing program and we will see you all next year!

Today, we had 36 kids join us for the last day of the 2026 Summer Library Program. Today the focus was on Archaeology. The kids "dug out" a Roman mosaic puzzle and put it together. Reading Logs are due by this Saturday, July 11th by noon!!!! We will see you all on Saturday the 18th (noon- 2:00 pm) for the pizza party and prizes!

Today, Kady from PBS kids visited the library. She showed a video, read a book and they made dino puppets. Each child also got to take home a book. 35 kids attended. Thank you Smoky Hills PBS! Next week is the last week to get your minutes read.
