The Wichita County Courthouse will close at noon on Friday April 3rd in honor of Good Friday.

The Internet is down at the courthouse. Therefore we can not do transactions or receive phone calls. I can be reached on my cell at 620-474-5028.

It has been a very busy tax season and we are grateful for a kind community. We were blessed to have 2 temporary workers fill in to receive taxes as they could. It was fun to have them in the office. One was much louder than the other but both put their noses to the grindstone and got those stacks of envelopes opened and processed.

If you think you would like to work in a friendly, kind environment and like to work with the public and numbers we are still looking for help. Come in and get an application. Please only apply if you truly want to work.

The last day to pay taxes without penalty is December 22. We do use postmark to determine the mail.

The Wichita County Treasurer's Office will not be processing drivers licenses until after Christmas. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
