Mission Statement:

The Woodworth PTO is a nonprofit parent teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians and staff at Woodworth Elementary School. The PTO's mission is to establish a close relationship between home and school by advancing the opportunity for all parents to become involved in the Woodworth Elementary community. The PTO sponsors assistance to teachers

and other staff members, raises funds for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for
sharing information on issues that impact our children. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Hosting for labor day? Or just treating yourself to something sweet? Meijer has a sale on a lot of box top products. If you bought just 4 cookie mixes you could earn the school a bunch of box tops (and through that, funding). It really adds up, but we need your help! This is also something grandparents, aunts/uncles can do to help provide fundraise for the school!

PTO is just for moms. FALSE! We welcome everyone, and greatly appreciate moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandma, grandpa, etc etc pitching in during events and activities to help make the school year great.
I'm running out of myths so if you have questions, or myths you want confirmed or debunked (about the , we are divided on if big foot is real) then send them over!!

Looking for something to do with the kiddos now that you're back into the swing of school routine? There are plenty of sports programs to choose from. Two programs are volleyball and soccer. These are just some examples but please drop in the comments any other fall sports program so parents can easily find them!

# PTO Myth: “The PTO is only for parents who have a ton of free time.”

Truth: 🧡🖤 Absolutely not! PTO is made up of busy parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, and community members who all contribute in different ways. Some volunteer at events, some donate supplies, some help behind the scenes, and some can only give an hour here and there.

Every little bit makes a difference! 🙌

🤫 This post is late, don't tell the others 🫣

Due to an extremely generous donation we were provided hand sanitizers to disperse to our staff. Please know that as each bag was packed and decorated we did a "no germs" dance in hopes those good vibes can keep our staff free of whatever bug our kids try to share with them. They're givers that way.

We will be doing a pop-up shop outside the school on Monday, Aug 24 from 7:30 am to 8:00 am for anyone who wanted to buy merchandise but couldnt during back to school night.

Cash or venmo only for this event. All proceeds go to fund school events and other school needs.
