Our Safe Haven is so much more than a recovery home.
Many people think recovery homes simply provide a bed. The truth is, they provide the foundation for a new life.
At True Light, our Safe Haven is about so much more than housing. Whether a woman is recovering from addiction, abuse, trauma, homelessness, incarceration, or sexual exploitation, our goal is to help her rebuild her life.
When women come to us, many have nothing. Some have no identification, birth certificate, Social Security card, transportation, employment, or support system. They aren't just looking for a place to stay—they're looking for a fresh start.
That is where the real work begins.
Every day, we walk alongside women as they rebuild their lives. We help them obtain identification and important documents, apply for benefits when needed, search for employment, create résumés, learn budgeting and other life skills, establish healthy routines, connect with community resources, grow in their faith, and become confident, independent women.
True Light is not a treatment facility. We don't provide doctors, nurses, therapists, or licensed counselors. Those services are incredibly important and often continue while a woman is living in our Safe Haven.
Our role is different—but it is just as important.
We provide stability. Accountability. Structure. Encouragement. A safe, Christ-centered environment where women can practice healthy habits, apply what they've learned, and begin building a future filled with hope.
Healing doesn't end when treatment ends. In many ways, that's when the real work begins.
Our Safe Haven is more than a place to live.
It's a place where lives are restored, hope is renewed, and women discover that, through Christ, a new beginning is possible.
