Early this morning, Ladder 30 responded to assist Trenton Fire Department on a three alarm dwelling fire. Crews operated for just over an hour before returning.

Our thoughts are with all of those affected by this tragic fire.

A&A Machinery recently donated lifting slings, chain come-alongs, and rigging shackles to help outfit Rescue 30. This equipment will enhance our heavy rescue and lifting capabilities and provide our crews with additional tools to safely and effectively handle a variety of emergency situations.

Support from local businesses and community partners like A&A Machinery plays an important role in helping us maintain the equipment and capabilities needed to serve Falls Township and our surrounding communities.

This morning at 01:37, Falls Township Fire Company No. 1 was dispatched to a local buisness for an automatic fire alarm. While enroute, the assignment was upgraded to a reported building fire. Deputy 30 arrived on scene to find a fire in the office area and established command. Engine and Ladder 30 arrived, along with mutual aid companies. Crews quickly extinguished the fire before checking for extension and completing ventilation.

There were no injuries reported and the fire is under investigation by Falls Township Fire Marshal.

Training has continued operating with new tools and equiptment on Rescue 30. As we continue to expand our capabilities, we must train regularly to maintain competency and develop skills.

We would like to thank Junkyard Barbie Pic-A-Part, Jyb Michelle for their continued support. Without their support, this type of realistic training would not be possible. If you’re looking to get rid of junk cars, please send them their way!

This morning at 01:01 hrs, Falls Township Fire Company No. 1 and mutual aid companies were dispatched for a residential dwelling fire on Amesbury Road. Deputy 30 arrived on scene to find a two story single family dwelling, with a well advanced fire in the rear of the dwelling and established Falls Command. Engine 30 arrived shortly after, established a water supply, and initiated fire attack and a primary search. Ladder 30, Rescue 30 and Mutual aid companies arrived to assist. Due to deteriorating conditions and lack of structural stability to the dwelling, command evacuated the dwelling and transitioned operations to a defensive attack. Once the fire was knocked down, crews reentered the dwelling to complete searches, and salvage and overhaul. The fire was placed under control at 01:27.

Our thoughts are with family affected by the fire.

There were no injuries reported, and the fire is currently under investigation by Falls Township Fire Marshal

For the last month, our members have spent countless hours in between responding to emergencies to prepare our Engine and Rescue for New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company No. 1’s 125th Anniversary Parade.

As a result, we were awarded “Best Engine” for Engine 30, “Best Specialty Vehicle” for Rescue 30 as well as “Best Overall Apparatus” and “Best Appearing Company”. Our members are extremely proud of this achievement and are happy to maintain pride in our apparatus and equipment.
