Due to the large wildfire at Joint Base McGuire, a smoky haze and odor of smoke may be noticeable across the region. Local fire departments are aware of the situation and are monitoring conditions.

At this time, residents may see or smell smoke without there being an active fire in the immediate area. However, if you observe heavy smoke, visible flames, or believe there is a true emergency, do not hesitate to call 911.

Please continue to use caution outdoors and stay informed through official updates.

On Sunday afternoon, Station 30 was dispatched for a reported brush fire in the 1400 Block of Bordentown Road. While enroute, Bucks County Emergency Communications reported they were receiving calls for an outbuilding fire. Deputy 30 arrived on scene shortly after to find an outbuilding well involved in fire impacting a methane gas line. The assignment was upgraded to a building fire bringing additional companies to the scene. Engine 30 arrived shortly after and quickly knocked down the fire, and unneeded resources were returned.

A huge thanks to our mutual aid partners that came to assist us.
