Volunteers of America - Western Nebraska serves the western half of Nebraska with a variety of programs including preschool, childcare, after-school care, health promotion, food pantry, drug and alcohol abuse prevention and more. For over 115 years, Volunteers of America has promoted self-sufficiency, fostered independence and encouraged the positive development of children and youths, the elderly

, the homeless and families. Volunteers of America operates hundreds of programs across the nation, each one locally created, managed and delivered to provide practical remedies to social needs. This organization was founded in 1896 by social reformers Ballington and Maud Booth as a national movement to help Americans in need.
