The City of Lewes is proud to celebrate 2026 National Police Week from May 11 through May 17.
First proclaimed by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, National Police Week honors and remembers the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across the United States, often made at great personal risk.
The Lewes Police Department exemplifies professionalism and a steadfast dedication to safeguarding our community. It is only fitting that we, as a community, come together to recognize and support the vital work of law enforcement officers and their families—not only this week, but throughout the year.
