⭐️Adopt-A-Highway- Anderson and Harper Road⭐️
Employees from the landfill and recycle center spent the day cleaning up the roads leading to the landfill.
🗑️1,680 lbs of trash was collected including a flat screen tv, cushioned chair, an entire granite countertop, 3 tail lights from various vehicles, a grill from a car, and an exhaust pipe.🚮
While it is great that we got it all picked up…..it is a bit of a disappointment to know that we have people in our community that decided to throw their tires over the hill instead of waiting for us to get a new tire trailer.
31 tires were picked up during this cleanup. I think it may be time to ask the WVDEP to supply us with litter cams.

Update: the trailer won’t be here until the week of the 15th.

The tire trailer is full. We hope to get a new one early next week.

The Greenbrier County Solid Waste Authority invites bids for lawn care services at the Greenbrier County Landfill. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the landfill site to review the areas that will be serviced under the terms of this contract. Call 304-645-2489 with any questions you may have. Bids will be received until April 30, 2026 and can be dropped off at the landfill or mailed to PO Box 1664 Lewisburg Wv 24901.

The landfill will be closed Monday January 19, 2026 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
