We are so excited for our Fall Festival coming up on September 4th at 11:30 am! Here is a sneak peek of some of our door prizes. We will have 15 different door prizes, all graciously sponsored by First Commerce Bank. Come join us for food, games, prizes, and fun at the MC Senior Center's Fall Festival! All those 55+ welcome!

Have you ever wanted to learn the card game Bridge? Our players want to teach you! We play Bridge on Wednesdays starting at 1 pm. Come by and let our players teach you how to play and join the club!

The Marshall Co. Senior Center is excited to partner with the Tennessee Department of Health to offer Marshall County a series on dementia in September. These events are all open to the public. The series will offer a general education class to teach the community what dementia is and how it affects us, a healthy brain trivia to teach healthy habits to keep our brain healthy now and in the future, a dementia support group for those that have dementia or loved ones with dementia to build community, and finally a Q&A where anything about dementia can be asked, from testing to resources to prevention.
We hope to see you all in September for these events!

There is an EXTREME HEAT warning in Southern Middle Tennessee through 8 pm on Sunday according to the National Weather Service. This is the highest level of heat warning they put out. These are dangerous levels of heat. We strongly recommend seniors avoid being outside or in any environment without air conditioning until the warning is over. Please be safe and aware of the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Let’s keep ourselves and our loved ones safe!

Did you know that the MC Senior Center has mobility aids available for use? We accept donations of gently used equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and shower chairs that we then give out to people that need them. These items are often expensive, and people sometimes only need them for a short while. If you need a mobility aid or have a gently used one for donation, please stop by the center and see how we can help!

The senior center is looking for someone that would like this piano or would be willing to haul it away for us. We would rather someone use it, but we need it moved so there is room for new items.
