Greenbrier Valley Conservation District The GVCD includes Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas Counties.

As a political sub-division, the GVCD works to create partnerships with other state, federal, and non-profit natural resource related agencies to leverage funds and other resources for conservation projects. These projects reduce and prevent soil erosion, protect and improve water quality, develop wildlife habitat, and enhance agricultural land.

Conference Registration & Deadlines
Your registration fee will cover all activities including meals and breaks.
Registration sent via U.S. mail must be postmarked no later than 4/20/26.

The Appalachian Grazing Conference is held every two years and offers informative presentations and demonstrations to farmers with cattle, goats, and sheep. Participants hear from America's leading speakers on strategies designed to increase their profits. This year, the Appalachian Grazing Conference is a multi-location, multi-day event.
Events will be held at three locations on different days. To register and choose which session(s) you wish to attend, please use the registration link found under the "Registration" tab at the link to our website above.
Keynote speakers at each site will be Allen Williams, John Genho, and Troy Bishopp. Each site will host a one-day event, featuring keynote speakers Allen Williams, John Genho, and Troy Bishopp, as well as local presenters. Lunch is included, sites listed below.
April 30, 2026 WVU Reymann Memorial Farm ($25.00 online and $35.00 at the door)
May 1, 2026, WV State Fair Grounds ($25.00 online and $35.00 at the door)

The Greenbrier Valley Conservation District's sign-up period for the FY27 Agricultural Enhancement cost-share program will be open from June 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must:
• Be a Greenbrier Valley District Cooperator
• Provide a current FSA Farm Map with the application.
