Lane Closures Expected on Westbound U.S. 60 in Hancock County Starting next Week
Project scheduled to be completed by Oct. 10
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (September 19, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to begin corrective work on the westbound lanes of U.S. 60 in Hancock County, between KY 1957 (4.79 mm) and Nugent Lane (9.35 mm) on Monday, Sept. 22.
The contractor will be completing corrective work on construction that was part of the U.S. 60 widening project. The work will consist of shoulder and median repairs and will require various lane restrictions and closures as work progresses. Drivers are urged to be attentive and pay attention to traffic control signage in the area.
The project is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 10.
This work is in addition to corrective work already underway on the eastbound lanes. That project started this week and is scheduled to last through November.
