Join our summer team! Kennedy Park Pool is looking to hire Certified Lifeguards for the 2026 summer season!

The pool is projected to be open from June 22 - August 15, Tuesday - Saturday. Applicants must be 15 years old at the time of the test. Hourly rate is $17-$19 depending on experience.

Official City of Lewiston, Maine has opportunities for citizens to volunteer on City boards and committees! Take a look at these openings to see if something sparks an interest - if so, head to the Boards and Committees page of the City’s website at www.lewistonmaine.gov for an application!

The City of Lewiston is seeking resident volunteers to serve as members of the City’s various boards and committees. Lewiston residents who are interested in applying can contact the City Clerk’s Department to complete a committee volunteer application. Application forms are also available on the Boards and Committees page of the City’s website at www.lewistonmaine.gov. Applications can be submitted at any time and will be accepted until the positions are filled.

The following city boards and committees have current openings:

-Board of Appeals
-Board of Assessment Review
-Community Development Block Grant Review Committee
-Complete Streets Committee
-Historic Preservation Review Board, Housing Committee – financial institution representative
-L/A Community Forestry Board
-Lewiston Area Public Health Committee
-Lewiston Senior Advisory Council
Planning Board.

Committee descriptions, meeting times, and other information about committee service are also available on the City’s website.

Due to residency requirements in the City Charter, neither the Board of Appeals nor the Planning Board may have more than two members serving simultaneously from the same wards. This provision is to ensure adequate and balanced representation from all sections of the city. As such, due to ward limits, applications for Board of Appeals from Wards 5 and 7 cannot be accepted at this time and applications from Ward 3 cannot be accepted for Planning Board at this time.

Residents are welcome to contact the City Clerk’s Department at 513-3124 with any questions they may have regarding the committee appointment process. Completed applications shall be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office for processing. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:45am - 4:00pm and Tuesday, 7:45am – 5:30pm.

Join this FREE EVENT on Friday to give your input on Lewiston's streets!

Join the Official City of Lewiston, Maine for "Reimagining Our Streets!".

Families, neighbors, and friends are encouraged to head to 110 Canal Street on Friday, September 26 for a fun hands-on event to explore how Lewiston streets can better serve drivers, walkers, and cyclists.

We are wrapping up one of our newest partnerships this week! Audrey joined the Kennedy Park Pool workforce from Looking Ahead Clubhouse as a part of their Transitional Employment program. Audrey picked up our registration software quickly, completed data entry, and provided great customer service to new pool users by assisting with membership forms. She was so helpful and willing to learn new tasks throughout the summer!

Thank you Audrey for being an instrumental part of our seasonal team! 🎉🙌💪☀️

The pool at Kennedy Park Pool will be opening at 1:00 PM today, 8/12, instead of 12:00 PM, to wrap up some maintenance.

The splashed will open at 12:00 PM as normal!
