Town of Lewiston Dog Control Office Effective January 1, 2011, each municipality in NYS was made responsible for all aspects of dog licensing.

The Town of Lewiston was thus required to pass a new town law entitled "Dog Control". This law clarifies the duties of the Town Clerk with respect to dogs. We encourage all dog owners to license their dogs and to have a current rabies vaccination. Please contact the Town DCO or the Town Clerk to obtain current licensing fees.

Niagara County DOH Releases Schedule for 2026 FREE Rabies Immunization Clinics

Mark your calendars as the Niagara County Department of Health has released its schedule of FREE rabies immunization clinics for this year. Appointments are required, walk-ins will not be accepted.

Note that registration for each clinic does not open until 9:00 a.m. on the first business day of the week of the clinic date.

Register for an appointment online at www.niagaracounty.gov/rabiesclinic or by calling (716) 439-7490. A separate registration is required for each pet.
