and the family, and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
-We believe the United States Constitution is the greatest and most inspired document to govern a nation,
and the republican form of government it gives us is the

best guarantor of freedom in history.
-We believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, s*x, age
or disability.
-We believe free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation and state
opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
-We believe government must practice fiscal responsibility, and that taxpayers should allow the
government only the money necessary to provide appropriate functions.
-We believe that our Founding Fathers gave us a government that is a servant of the people not our master
and the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be
performed by individuals or private organizations.
-We believe the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the
people and the sovereignty of the state must be protected. That government is best that governs least.
-We believe Idahoans must protect the principles and values that have made us strong.
-We believe that the rights of individuals can only be maintained by exercising personal responsibility for
behavior.
-We believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and
successful principles of government.

One of the best Idaho Senators!

Cindy Carlson is currently serving as Idaho State Senator for District 7. She was first elected in November of 2022 and lives outside of Riggins with her family where they own and operate a helicopter business.

Carlson was assigned to the following committees for the 2025-2026 Legislative Sessions:

Senate Education Committee
Finance Committee
Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee

She has served our district very well, with her strong interest in education and protecting our youth as well as her management of her own family’s businesses, she was a valued asset on these committees.

You might have seen Senator Carlson in the recent 4th of July Parade in Council, where she joined the Adams County Republicans, then attended the World Famous Porcupine Races! Thank you to her for helping us celebrate America 250!

On July 3, 1890, President Benjamin Harrison signed the “Act to provide for the admission of the State of Idaho into the Union,” officially making Idaho the 43rd state.

Today, we celebrate this amazing state and all that it has given us. We also remember those who made sacrifices that can never be fully repaid, so that we may live free in the greatest state in the USA.
