Lewiston Ambulance Lewiston Ambulance- Serving our Community since 1974 The Lewiston Ambulance was founded in 1974. We are also mutual aid for the City of Winona, St.

It has gone through many changes throughout the years along with many different members. The one constant that has remained is providing excellent pre-hospital care to the citizens in our area. We cover around 125 square miles which include the City of Lewiston, City of Utica, and the City of Stockton along with many other townships. Charles, and Altura. The Lewiston Ambulance currently consists of 26 members. The Ambulance has a full-time Director who takes call during the day hours and staffs the office Monday-Friday. We are currently responding to around 200 calls per year. We staff one Ambulance which was purchased new in 2008. 🚑 EMS Simulation Training in Action! 🚑

Our EMS team recently participated in simulation training designed to strengthen clinical skills, communication, teamwork, and decision-making through realistic emergency scenarios. Simulation gives our crews the opportunity to practice, learn, and grow in a safe environment so when the call comes, we’re ready to provide the best care possible.

A special thank you to Paramedic Schell for the countless hours spent planning, organizing, and coordinating this training. Your time and dedication helped make this opportunity possible for our crews!

We also want to extend a huge thank you to the physicians, providers, and volunteers who took time out of their busy weekend to proctor the scenarios and simulate patients. Your participation and expertise made these scenarios realistic and incredibly valuable for our team:

Come out and celebrate National Night Out!

This evening your Lewiston Public Safety teams will be out at Southside Park for our annual NATIONAL NIGHT OUT event! This event starts at 5:30pm. A drawing for door prizes will be held around 7:15pm. The event is absolutely free so join us for food, ice cold treats, face painting, yard games, and a chance to dunk members of the Public Safety Team! We look forward to seeing you there.

🚑 HAPPY EMS WEEK! 🚑
We want to send a massive shout-out to all fellow EMS providers!
A special thank you goes to our own incredible members and all those that have come before us. You make this service what it is.

This EMS Week looks a little different for our crew. We paused our annual EMS Week Open House due to new facility construction, but that didn’t stop us from staying active in our community!

🎓 This week, our crew completed an initial Emergency Medical Responder course at the Lewiston - Altura School District. Nine students successfully completed the requirements to become certified as EMR's in the State of MN. They were trained in crucial life-saving skills:

* Basic Life Support CPR
* Medical & Trauma Assessments
* Oxygen & Airway Care
* Bleeding Control

Congrats to the students for a job well done!

📊 By the Numbers: A Busy Month
Our crew has been exceptionally busy responding to 911 calls:

* 28 incidents in just 21 days this month
* 11 calls happened just this week
* 129 total incidents so far this year
