Lewiston Maine Dems
Office Opening Event!

Join us to officially open the Coordinated Campaign Office in Lewiston! Welcome to our hub of local organizing to kick out Susan Collins, elect Troy Jackson, Hannah Pingree, and Matt Dunlap, and expand Democratic majorities in the State House and Senate.

We are so excited to have Hannah Pingree and Matt Dunlap both come out to speak and meet people and help inaugurate our lovely new office. After the opening and the meet and greet we will head on out to canvass our neighborhoods! Because we know that talking to voters face-to-face is the best way to earn their support for Democrats up and down the ticket.

Don’t worry if you’ve never done a canvassing shift before, there will be training and Q&A before the shift starts!

We will meet at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 12th at the Coordinated Campaign Office at 621 Main St. in Lewiston for training and to hit the doors and speak with voters.

Just bring yourself, a fully charged phone, and plenty of energy for a great day of canvassing!

Bobby Charles has a "𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣" to create fear before the November elections. In leaked audio he talks about his plan:

“Well, here's my secret. I've got this friend named Tom Homan. Tom and I used to be on Fox all the time together. I’m going to ask Tom — three or four weeks before the election, maybe three — I’m going to make an appeal for ICE and marshals to be at our voting booths.”

My statement on Bobby Charles’ call for ICE to interfere in our election:

August 20th in Arundel fascist Bobby Charles made these statements at a get-together of his supporters.

Bobby is planning on asking his stated friend Tom Holman, Whitehouse "border czar", to send federal agents to Maine polling places.

Federal law makes it a crime to station armed federal agents at polling places.
That isn't stopping Bobby Charles.
From his own mouth, Bobby wants Maine to become N**i Germany.

Women’s Equality Day, observed August 26, honors the 19th Amendment and the generations who have advanced gender equity. It also reminds us to build equitable workplaces and healthcare environments where women are heard, supported, respected, and empowered.

Fact check: GOP ad Distorts claims about Troy Jackson’s son

Chace Jackson was not paid $200,000 by special interests.

The bill in question was LD 1707, introduced in 2019 when Jackson was leading the Maine state Senate. The legislation would have required independent testing of environmental permit compliance rather than allowing permit holders to conduct the testing themselves.

A lobbying firm that employed Jackson’s son, Chace, was registered to lobby against the bill. Chace, however, was only an associate, working under the principal lobbyist who was leading the effort.

The legislature’s bipartisan Environment and Natural Resources Committee voted unanimously that the bill should not pass. Jackson did not serve on the committee, and there is no indication that he whipped votes in favor of this outcome.

Under Maine legislative rules, any bill that a committee unanimously recommends not to pass requires the support of a two-thirds majority in both chambers to be reconsidered. LD 1707 did not have that support and never received a floor vote.

The ad also claims that Chace “raked in almost $200,000 from special interests.” This figure, however, refers to what Chace’s employers were paid, not him individually. The ad cites a Washington Beacon article that makes this distinction clear.
