Last night’s results affirmed that our community has chosen a message of hope and unity over division. Together, we stood against divisive forces, sending a clear message: we are stronger when we work together.
After facing challenges and negativity, I feel not only relief but also a renewed sense of purpose. I want to thank my family for their unwavering love and support throughout this journey. I extend my deepest gratitude to my opponent, Councilor Soule. Your commitment to our city has not gone unnoticed. Your dedication, particularly on the SSP ordinance, has sparked important conversations and raised the standard for all of us. Thank you for your efforts to make Lewiston a better place.
To my campaign team—Elizabeth Eames, Kieran Majerus-Collins, and Frankie—thank you for your steadfast support during challenging times. I will forever be grateful. A special thank you goes to my dear friend and brother, Daud Osman. Your leadership and support have inspired us all. To Ifraax, and everyone who played a role in this journey—your dedication has made a difference. Together, we have shown that we can overcome anything.
Today is not just about my victory; it is a triumph for our entire community. We have united to reject the lies and outdated views that sought to divide us. We have demonstrated that we will not be swayed by those who aim to create division.
As I step into my role as your City Council representative, I pledge my commitment to our community. I will prioritize our growth, safety, and prosperity, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. Together, we will build a Ward 5 that embodies unity and strength.
