Game day updates for Highland. Today, H.S. softball will travel to Bowling Green. The start time has been pushed back to 6:30 pm and there will be no J.V. game. Wed, 9/2, the Junior High Football team will travel to Monroe City (7 pm). Wed, 9/2 H.S. softball team will play N. Shelby at home (varsity 1st @ 6pm with JV to follow).

HIGHLAND ATHLETICS UPDATE

At this time, Highland Athletics will keep practices as scheduled for this afternoon.

We will take Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) readings throughout the afternoon and will make any necessary adjustments in accordance with MSHSAA heat acclimatization guidelines.

The safety of our student-athletes remains our top priority. Coaches will adjust practice duration, equipment, activity levels, and water/rest breaks as required based on WBGT readings.

If conditions require additional changes to practice schedules, coaches will communicate those changes with athletes and families.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our student-athletes safe.

When Highland Legend Emma Harshberger amassed 169 career hits back in 2023, I thought it was an unbreakable school record. Today, Keera Rothweiler broke that record and she sits alone on top with 172 career hits. What an amazing career, and the hits just keep on coming.

We are about 24 hours away from Friday night kickoff in Cougar Country and we are looking forward to seeing everyone! Families, please be reminded of our younger student expectations as you gear up and head out to cheer on the Cougs under the Friday night lights!

Remember that HES students should;
be with and remain under the supervision of an adult throughout the game
remain in the bleachers **Playing in the grassy areas is NOT permitted.
leave all footballs/sports equipment at home
