Notice of Bridge Construction for T-710 Strodes Run Road over Strodes Run in Mifflin County, PA

George S. Hann & Son, Inc. plans to begin construction on a bridge project, T-710 Strodes Run Road over Strodes Run in Mifflin County, PA on or about July 6, 2021. The road will be closed for the duration of the project (approximately 2 months) and detour signs will be in place. Please be aware of the construction zone and obey the traffic detour signs.

***July 11th***

Join us and the City Hook and Ladder for an Outdoor Bingo Fundraiser Event at the former Malta Home site in Granville (located behind the Granville Fire Company).

Gates open at 12noon and Bingo will begin at 2pm. Upon entering the gate, you will receive a wristband and your playing cards. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Packages will be sold in a "6-pack" and we will play 12 rounds of Bingo total, each game being a Full-Card game including a final Jackpot. Each game will payout $100 and the Jackpot (game #12) will payout $500 💥

Lawn chairs and EZ-Ups are welcome, but stay close to your vehicle as each number will be broadcasted across your FM Radio and you must HONK your car horn to be acknowledged of your potential winning card 😂.
Carpooling is encouraged!

We'll have a RIP Ticket and concession stand available. We know your anxious to get out and here is an opportunity for some fresh air, just a couple weeks before our August Bash with City Hook and Ladder and McVeytown Fire Departments.

Oh yeah, it's only $20/person to play!

There is no pre-sale of tickets for entrance, just come the day of. Should the weather be inclement, we'll keep you updated.
So come out July 11th and have some fun, we'll see you then!

The Township appreciates everyone’s enthusiasm and love for Malta Park. In order to make the park the best it can be for everyone that uses it the Township encourages reservations for events. It is a beautiful setting for weddings, family reunions, birthday party, baby shower, etc. We would hope that people would be happy that someone would want to use the park to celebrate their life event. For any confusion this rental posted is ONE DAY. On June 26, 2021 Malta Park has been rented and no pavilions will be available for use by the general public.
If you would like to rent a pavilion or the entire park for a special event, you may contact the Township office at 717-242-2334. Large pavilions - $50; Medium - $25; Small - $15; Entire Park - $150. A reservation is for the entire day. No smoking or alcohol is permitted on park grounds.

FCC Announces Start Date for $50 Emergency Broadband Credit
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced May 12 as the start date for the Emergency Broadband Benefit program, which will help make broadband more affordable by providing a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a computer or tablet from participating providers if they contribute at least $10 towards the purchase price.

Eligible households include those participating under the current Lifeline program, which receive benefits under a free and reduced-price school lunch or meet other income eligibility criteria. Click here to learn more.

Granville Township will be closing River Road at the intersection with State Route 103 to the area of 105 River Road from 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for pipe replacements.

ROAD CLOSURE JUNE 2ND - 5TH 7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Daily Granville Township will be closing Middle Road from Loop Road to Long Drive and the intersection of Middle Road & King Drive for the pupose of manhole maintenance. All work is weather permitting.

Per RoadSafe on behalf of Norfolk Southern: Norfolk Southern to perform a road closure on Granville Road at the railroad tracks near River Road beginning Tuesday 5-5-2020 at 8am and will last through EOD Monday 5-11-2020. During this time, no vehicles will be permitted through the crossing. This work is necessary to perform repair work on the tracks. We anticipate detouring traffic down River Road, to Anderson Road to PA 103. Signage will be posted to direct motorists around the closure.

Granville Township Burn Ban has been lifted. Burning may occur 1 hour after sunrise to 1 hour before sunset; all burning must occur 25' away from neighboring properties; you must be in attendance of the fire at all times; the fire can not be a nuisance. If it is windy - DO NOT BURN
