On 05/07/26 at approximately 1745 hours, Officers of the Lewistown Police Department received a reckless driving complaint related to a Maroon Chevrolet Blazer in the area of Broadway Street and Great Oaks Lane, Lewistown. Lewistown Police Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the area of Main Street and Ave E and subsequently conducted a traffic stop after observing several traffic violations. The driver, 34 y.o. Joshua C. Irwin, was subsequently taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence. Irwin was transported to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and issued additional citations for Driving Under the Influence - BAC greater than 0.08 after chemical testing disclosed Irwin’s BAC of 0.381 to be nearly five times the legal limit. Irwin was also issued traffic citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Failing to Signal When Required.
Irwin was processed at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and later released with an appearance date in Fulton County Court.

All suspects are presumed innocent until prove guilty in a court of law.

On 5/06/26 at approximately 0655 hours, Lewistown Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of S. Main Street and Ave E. As a result of the traffic stop the driver, Kara R. Bent 40 y.o., of Ipava, was charged with Driving While License Suspended, Possession of M**hamphetamine less than 5 grams, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bent was transported to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and processed before being released with an appearance date in Fulton County Court.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
