City Hook & Ladder #14 is one of two companies located in the Borough of Lewistown that make up the formation of the Lewistown Fire Department. Company 14 is located at 317 Valley Street in the geo area known as the the East End of Lewistown and is readily accessible to US Routes 322/22 and 522. Company 14 primarily focuses on Rescue Operations and

Fire Suppression. In 2020 the many decades of providing Truck Company Services to the community was ceased. The Organizational membership is made up of many Volunteers that dedicate and commit their time on a day to day basis in order to maintain operations. Since 1904, the City has strived to do the very best to its ability to save and preserve life and property. Like any other volunteer organization, todays times are very trying and cumbersome on each individual person and we can not thank everyone enough for what they do. A 2020 E-One Rescue/Engine, 2017 Dodge 3500 Squad/Mini Attack and a 2006 Rescue Boat. This apparatus and the volunteers respond to 300+ alarms annually. The City Fire Company Social Club is a separate entity that supports the City Hook & Ladder. The City Fire Company Social Club was officially made its own entity in November, 2023. Earlier this evening, Company's 14 and 32 responded to 3 incidents in less than 2hrs.
Tree on a House w/reported Fire and live Power Lines Down, a Natural Gas Leak and a AFA.

Company 14 assisted Company 2 with a Large Fuel Spill in the Glenwood area. Haz Mat booms and pads were used to help control the spillage.
Chief 2 had command.

Week 2 of our bay floor project, the Squad bay has begun. After hours of grinding, the original Candy Factory floor has once again seen the light of day.
Our building was the Goss's Candy factory, prior to the Fire Company moving in, around 1942.

Last evening, 19 members along with members of Heritage Fire #32 participated in Vehicle Rescue Training at Parsons. 5 vehicles were used for Extrication scenarios. Thank You to Parsons for allowing us the use of their facility!

1822hrs: Squad 14 assisted Company 2 with a Grass Fire along Rt 522. Chief 4 had command.

Future Firefighter Colton Baumgardner, (son of Lt Baumgardner) attended Dream Weekend this past weekend, at the Marion Fire Company, in Franklin County. This event gave future members the opportunity to learn various aspects of the Emergency Services and gain basic training and knowledge in skills such as Medical Care, Vehicle Rescue and Firefighting.
