Over the past couple of months the Lewistown Fire Dept Auxiliary has taken on a new project. With the help of a lot of donations from area business and private donations we were able to put into service a grain bin rescue trailer for our fire district. This trailer will carry all of our equipment needed to help in a grain bin rescue. This trailer will carry 2 grain bin rescue tubes we had one already in the district and we added a second one to the trailer with the new EMS panels that are shorter to allow access to the patient to help treat them. This trailer will be used in all of Lewis County for grain bin rescues and will respond to mutual aid calls where needed. The Lewistown Fire Dept Auxiliary can't think enough for all of the support that was given on this project. We are still needing a few odds and ends to complete the trailer but it is in service as of today. We will be getting some more training in the near future for grain bin rescue and confined space rescue. Most of our members have had the training. Again thanks for all of the support we couldn't have done this project without you.
