Daytime temperatures will warm into the low to mid 90s, or higher, across much of the Four State Region today. Combined with humidity, this will result in heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees. Stay hydrated, stay cool, and take frequent breaks if outdoors.

At 150 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms over Macedonia, or 7 miles southwest of Magnolia,
moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Magnolia, Waldo, McNeil, Taylor, Emerson, Buckner, Shongaloo,
Macedonia, Smithland, Bussey, Welcome, Village, Calhoun, Mount
Vernon, Horsehead, Walkerville, Noxobe, Cornelius and Lamartine.

Tonight: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 82. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

thunderstorms extending from over Athens to over Bussey, or extending
from near Umpire to 10 miles north of Springhill, moving east at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Magnolia, Hope, Prescott, Stamps, Waldo, Lewisville, McNeil,
Umpire, Taylor, Emmet, Emerson, Blevins, Buckner, Perrytown,

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
