Small steps are the key to transitioning from an unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy one. Focus on small improvements every day, every week, and every month. Over time you will be amazed at the cumulative effect of your small efforts.
To get started, tell someone you trust that you have decided to change your health for the better. Ask that person to hold you accountable!
1. Physical - start your day with 16 ounces of room temperature water before you pick up that first cup of coffee
2. Spiritual - set an hourly reminder on your phone to re-center your thoughts on Jesus and spend a few minutes in prayer.
3. Emotional - before falling asleep make a mental health list of the things that went well in your life today.
4. Mental - commit to memorizing a new scripture verse. Start with Philippians 4:8.
