DEAR LEXINGTON,

My name is Diane Minnifield, your candidate for circuit court judge. You may have seen my yard signs in your neighborhood or heard my name on the radio, but I am writing this to remind you that I am more than a candidate behind a screen. While I have dedicated my career to the pursuit of justice, I am also a loving mother and wife. I am a devoted woman of faith and a trusted friend.

Above all, I’m authentic.

I can promise you that my truth and humanity will not get lost in the sea of bureaucracy as Lexington’s next Circuit Court Judge. In fact, I intend to carry it on my sleeve and approach each case with dignity and integrity, much like I have approached this election.

I recognize that Lexington is embarking on uncharted territory as crime rates rise, and I assure you that I hear your frustrations and feel your concerns. I am confident that my experiences in criminal court will match the emerging needs of the Commonwealth, and complement the expertise of established Judges on the Circuit Court bench.

In times of stark polarization, our justice system demands humanity. I promise you, that if I am elected, I will bring Lexington together, rather than tear us apart.

As you venture to the polls tomorrow, I encourage you to think about what you want to see in our Commonwealth. I am honored to be your candidate for Circuit Court Judge, and I want to thank you in advance for your vote.
