It’s going to be a great celebration!

🇺🇸 Join the Town of Lexington for our 250th Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 3rd at the Icehouse Amphitheater!

The evening begins at 6 PM with food trucks, desserts, drinks, face painting, balloon animals, and opportunities to visit with the Lexington County Museum and Lexington 250th Commission.

Step back into the Revolutionary era at 6PM with:

📖 Historian Dean Hunt sharing key American Revolution events that took place in Lexington County

🎭 Robert Ryal presenting as a Man of the cloth who explains the rationale for the independence movement

📜 Actors’ Theatre presenting a reading of South Carolina’s Declaration of Separation, featuring Captain Henry Felder and Revolutionary War heroine Rebecca Motte

🎶 Live music begins shortly after 7 PM
🎆 Fireworks light up the sky at 9:20 PM

Bring your family, friends, and party hats as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and Lexington’s important role in our nation’s story!🎆🇺🇸

UPDATE 5—The boil water advisory has been lifted and the water is safe to drink. We appreciate your patience during this time.

UPDATE 4—Water has been restored, but a boil water advisory is in place for the affected homes. A notice has been placed on each door where this applies. Homeowners will be notified once the boil water advisory is lifted.

UPDATE 3—Utility crews are still working on the repair. It’s expected to take another few hours. Please be cautions when driving through the work zone for everyone’s safety. We’re doing all we can to get water restored as soon as possible.

UPDATE 2—Water has been shut off for the following streets and they will be without water for the duration of repairs, followed by a boil water advisory:
• Summer Duck Trail
• Landing Drive
• W Sparrowood Run
• E Sparrowood Run
• Mallard Lakes Drive (only between Sunset Blvd and Sparrowood Run)

UPDATE—Water leak update & preparation for the water shut off: the following streets will be without water for the duration of repairs, followed by a boil water advisory:
• Summer Duck Trail

• W Sparrowood Run
• E Sparrowood Run
• Mallard Lakes Drive (only between Sunset Blvd and Sparrowood Run)

We estimate that 81 customers will be without water. The contractor and Town are beginning to stage equipment; a follow up post will be made just prior to water being turned off.

Original post—Town of Lexington Utilities is aware of a ruptured water main on Mallard Lakes Drive. Conditions require the Town to utilize a sub-contractor to complete the repairs. The repair work will begin once all utilities have been marked. The work will require that the water main be shutdown, resulting in an outage for many customers in the area. The Town will provide updates as the situation progresses.

We’ll raffle off Icehouse tickets throughout the event, so make sure to visit our Events Assistant at the Icehouse tent and fill out a survey!🎶💃🏻

Check-ins are located outside of Craft Axe and on the other side of the street in front of Movement Mortgage.📍

Please have tickets ready, and state whether you purchased beer or wine. 🍻🍷

Beer stops are located inside O’Hara’s, Nicky’s, and Keg Cowboy. You are able to redeem 2 cans with your beer tickets.
