Belated Happy New Year Whiteford!
The annual $75 regime fee is now due. Once again I encourage all homeowners in the neighborhood to support the community financially with a one time contribution.

An email will be sent from our management company to all homeowners that have provided an email address. Instructions will be included to pay online or where to mail a check.

Cost to mail hard copy invoices is not an option now as we simply do not have the funds. Hard copy invoices will be hand delivered as soon as possible. Anyone interested in helping deliver these door to door on your street can reach out to PMS.

If you have not received emails from PMS in the past, you can email them at [email protected], they will assist you. Also, checks made out to Whiteford HOA can be sent to Whiteford HOA, P. O. Box 2014, Lexington SC, 29071

Please support your community with your gift ASAP.
Thank you,
Lee Kimpel

Dozens of these newspaper delivery boxes remain standing or attached to the mailbox throughout Whiteford. They are obsolete, serve no purpose and are basically an eyesore. How about we find a way to remove them and clean up the neighborhood a bit.
Please reach out to the HOA if assistance is needed.
Thank you,

This past week I was trimming trees back with limbs that were hanging out into the street on Saddlebrooke Rd. One of the several school busses that come through the neighborhood stopped, thanked me, and ask if I could trim the rest throughout the hood where the school bus hits them.

I said get me a list and I'll do what I can. Please, if the trees on your property are hanging into the street and getting hit by vehicles, cut them back asap.

Please reach out to the HOA if we can be of assistance.

Thank you,

What appears to be a ladies wedding band was found near the Whiteford Way entrance at #6. Maybe a runner or walker dropped it. No markings of any sort. I'll hold onto it in hopes of getting it back to the owner one day. Any assistance finding the owner will be appreciated.
Thank you,

There are 6 plus locations on Whiteford Way the HOA is responsible to maintain, mow, clean up, etc. So I spend a lot of time on this road, and without fail, dozens if not hundreds of vehicles pass by me, a good percentage speeding.
I hate having to post this same message over and over, but I will continue to as I see fit.
The speed limit is 20, I understand that is difficult to do. Use the following guideline when driving on any street in the neighborhood. Keep your speed closer to 20 than 30 mph. That is not difficult and not asking too much.
Please remind all drivers in your home to follow this one simple request.
Lastly, please take time to reach out to LCSD and voice your concerns. The direct email to Sgt. Spears is [email protected] and he would love to hear from you.

Every homeowner in Whiteford benefits from the actions of the Whiteford HOA. We are working almost everyday somewhere in the neighborhood mowing, trimming trees, or just cleaning up.

For years, we have begged and pleaded with homeowners to participate financially with the upkeep of our neighborhood. There is a cost to everything we do and every homeowner should accept some responsibility.

Again, thank you to those who have sent in your 2025 $75 regime. If you have not, please do so today. Email [email protected] for assistance with this.

Thank you,

Regarding Lumos Fiber Optics

The Whiteford HOA was never contacted by this company to notify homeowners of the work they would be doing. Lumos did not notify our property manager, who manages 50 plus communities, of the planned work. We found out they were coming the same day as many of you, when the trucks rolled up and started digging.

Lexington County approved this project so all questions, blame, and whatever you want to call it can be directed at them and Lumos.
The attached picture provides information to reach Lumos, please voice your displeasure to them.

Any questions can be posted here or emailed to [email protected].

Thank you,

This humorous advice for how to trim a Bradford Pear is worth sharing, I believe. This tree is very harmful to the environment and we encourage you to remove any you may have on your property. These are not banned for no reason in most of the US.

Just another reminder regarding the speed limit. All residential neighborhoods in Lexington County have a 20 MPH speed limit, obviously this includes Whiteford.
I just spent part of the day cleaning up the big island and the bridge area, both on Whiteford Way. I guess there are a lot of important people that drive through the neighborhood because they sure are in a hurry to get somewhere.
Please, remind all drivers in your home to slow down when driving anywhere in the neighborhood.
Thank you,

The sago palm has come back to life and summer is just around the corner. Most schools are out, and more kids are out and about on bikes, scooters, and walking.
I see numerous kids hanging out at the roundabout and bridge area, along with front yards throughout Whiteford.
Please, make sure all drivers in your home know the speed limit is 20 and everyone needs to slow down.

Almost everyday, I am out doing work in the common areas throughout Whiteford, most located on Whiteford Way or Saddlebrooke Rd.

It is unbelievable how fast vehicles are traveling throughout a residential neighborhood with a speed limit of 20 mph, and every neighborhood in Lexington Cty. has the same 20 mph speed limit.

I've always wanted to ask, what part of 20 mph is difficult to understand, and how do we not know that a STOP sign means STOP?

I know LCSD has been spending more time here lately and that is due to homeowners reaching out to them asking for help. I heard $240 fine, 4 points, resulting in insurance rates increasing.

It also seems the Whiteford kid population has increased, school is out soon, and they will be out and about even more. Please slow down, stop at stop signs, and put your phone down.

Thank you,
