Riding the bus? Safety starts with YOU!
🚌 It’s National School Bus Safety Week (Oct 19–23, 2026)!
For our students, staying safe starts at the bus stop and continues until you get home!

Today we are highlighting: "Be Safe. Be Aware."

Here are a few quick safety rules to remember every day:
🚶‍♂️ Arrive early & stay safe: Wait at the bus stop curb in a safe place, well back from the road.
✋ Wait for the signal: Always wait for your bus driver’s signal before stepping on or off the bus. 🎒 Keep hands & belongings inside: Keep all hands, feet, and items safely inside the bus at all times.
🎧 Listen up: Follow all directions and rules from your bus driver and monitor.

Fayette County Public Schools encourages all high school seniors and families to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Whether your student is planning for college, technical school, or career training, filing the FAFSA is the single most important step to unlock federal grants, work-study opportunities, and low-interest student loans.

📌 Key information for families:
Who should apply: All graduating seniors, regardless of family income.
What you need: Your tax records, FSA ID, and basic financial information.
Where to apply: Start your application today directly at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa!

Small kids, big thoughts! 🎒✨

Our kindergartners are back on camera for Kindergarten Conversations, and they have the most delightful thoughts on what a principal really does and their favorite songs to sing at school!

From keeping everyone safe to singing🎤 "¡Hola, cómo estás!", these Maxwell Spanish Immersion Elementary stars deliver all the smiles.
