Lexington is under a Flood Warning until 7:45 p.m. EDT on Thursday, June 18, 2026, replacing the previously reported flash flood warning. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring in the area. Remember to never drive through flooded roads or flood waters. Turn around, don’t drown!

Lexington is under a Flood Watch until 9 a.m., Thursday, June 18. Flash flooding from excessive rainfall is possible and may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying areas. Monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action.

Heads up, Lexington! Beginning Tuesday, June 16 at 10P, Leestown Road will close going northbound and southbound under the KY 4 (New Circle Road) overpass. The closure will be between the two sets of ramps. Drivers can use New Circle Road to go to Georgetown Road (US 25) or Old Frankfort Pike (KY 1681).

All roads will reopen by 5A the following morning.
