Today, on Women’s Equality Day, we recognize the generations of women who have used their voices, leadership and service to create meaningful change.

At the Junior League of Lexington, we’re proud to continue that legacy by developing women leaders, creating opportunities for women to lead with purpose and working together to strengthen our community.

Here’s to the women who paved the way, the women leading today and the women who will shape what comes next. 💙

✨ Member Spotlight: Dr. Amanda Mather ✨

For Dr. Amanda Mather, her first year as an Active Member of the Junior League of Lexington has been an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen her communication skills and connect with positive, joyful women working together toward a common goal.

Serving as the Holly Day Market Silent Auction Chair and also on our CE&R Committee, Amanda says one of her favorite League memories so far has been volunteering at Ronald McDonald House alongside fellow members.

“The League members I worked with are exceptional people!”

Amanda says she serves because she loves working hard to improve the lives of people in Lexington, and she’s especially looking forward to seeing this year’s Holly Day Market be a huge success.

Thank you, Amanda, for bringing your enthusiasm and dedication to the Junior League of Lexington!

✨ Member Spotlight: Tricia Weiderman ✨

For Tricia Weiderman, one of the most meaningful parts of being a Junior League of Lexington member is seeing what women can accomplish when they work together.

Now in her fourth year with the League and serving as Holly Day Market Vice Chair, Tricia continues to be inspired by the women around her.

“I am impressed every day to see what happens when you get a group of amazing and strong women working together!”

That perspective feels especially meaningful in a milestone year for the League. With the Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show celebrating its 90th anniversary and Holly Day Market marking 20 years, Tricia sees 2026 as an opportunity to recognize the generations of women whose time, leadership and dedication have helped build these traditions and make an impact in our community.

Thank you, Tricia, for being part of that legacy and helping carry it forward!

Throwing it back to earlier this week... 💙

We celebrated a big milestone as our Provisional members officially became Active members of the Junior League of Lexington!

The evening also featured our committee "speed dating" event, where members had the opportunity to meet committee leaders, learn about different roles and find new ways to get involved in the year ahead.

We also took time to recognize a few members. Congratulations to our June Volunteer of the Month, Grace Hahn; July Volunteer of the Month, Heather Kane; and our VIP of the Month, Tamara Davis. Thank you for your dedication and service to the League!

Congratulations to our newest Active members — we're so excited to see what this League year has in store!
