Unearth a Story with educators from the North Carolina Zoo at the Summer Reading Kick-Off on Monday, June 15 @ 1:00 pm. All ages are welcome to join us for fun activities, awesome animal biofacts and a live animal or two! Register for Summer Reading before or after the program at the library and begin reading for prizes! This program will be at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, next to the library. Please park in the church parking lot.

Pardue on Wednesday, June 3 @ 4:00 pm for a lively exploration of the bizarre, macabre, and delightfully peculiar stories that make North Carolina unforgettable. Ages 10+. Registration required. Liz Z Pardue is an award-winning storyteller, writer, and director from North Carolina where she has spent almost 40 years collecting and sharing Southern history through its lore. In 2023, Pardue founded Sisterhood of Spirits, LLC, operating ghost tours and spooky historical theatrical productions from Fuquay-Varina—the most haunted small town in the South.
