Two years ago, five premier Indonesian landmarks were strategically chosen as The Indonesian Super Priority Tourism Destinations as an effort to boost Indonesian tourism after the pandemic.

These locations are actively promoted for “sustainable tourism” and their development was slated to be completed in 2024.

These destinations aim to create positive impacts not only on the environment but also on the economy, society, and culture. Foreign investors will have a unique chance to contribute to sustainable development in these remarkable destinations while reaping the benefits of Indonesia’s growing tourism industry.

Back in January 2023, Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia stated that the government will achieve its target of developing an electric car battery ecosystem in Indonesia, with the first production planned to start in early 2024.

The optimistic declaration is not without reasons. Indonesia has seen a rapid increase in electric vehicle sales, from 125 units in 2020 to 10,327 units in 2022. Indonesians are eager to invest in EV, over 70% of Indonesian public are keen to switch from traditional gasoline vehicles.

Despite the positive trends, there are barriers to EV adoption in Indonesia, such as the need for more charging stations and consumer acceptance. The government’s ambitious targets and investments aim to overcome these challenges.

Coffee shops in Indonesia are lively and noisy. They serve as perfect spots for “nongkrong”, a quintessential Indonesians' activity where people come together, sip coffee, and enjoy each other’s company. This culture is reflected in the country's coffee culture as blend of tradition and modernity, fueled by passion and camaraderie. The coffee industry in Indonesia has witnessed significant growth, with a surge in retail coffee businesses and evolving consumption patterns.

---------------------
