We’re so grateful to the incredible students and faculty from the University of Kentucky College of Design for helping us imagine a softer place to land for the children and families we serve. 💙

UKCoD School of Interiors Students partnered with The Nest to explore how trauma-informed design can create spaces that feel safer, calmer, more welcoming, and empowering for children. Their thoughtful ideas opened our eyes to new possibilities for our childcare spaces and will help inform future planning for The Nest.

Thank you to Professor Aanya Chugh and every student who brought your creativity, curiosity, and compassion to this partnership. Your work reminded us that design is about more than how a space looks - it can help a child feel safe, supported, and at home. 🏡
