The Lexington Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are seeking the public's assistance in locating Charles Ferguson Jr., who has been charged with murder and drive-by shooting in connection with an incident that occurred on March 10, 2026, within the city limits of Holmes County, Lexington, Mississippi. Charles Ferguson Jr. is considered armed and dangerous. Locating both Cordale Thomas and Javarius Gibson in their involvement into the Fatal shooting that left (1) Person deceased .Both Thomas and Gibson are Charged with Accessory after the fact .

The Holmes County Sheriff Department is asking the public for assistance in Locating Markeal Williams aka Markelle Willliams who has Active Warrant(s) on the Charges of Aggravated Assault, Possession of firearm by a convicted felon. The Mississippi Department of Corrections has a active warrant for absconding for Mr. Williams as well.

Markeal Williams aka Markelle Williams is considered to be Armed and Dangerous!!!

Sheriff Willie March of the Holmes County Sheriff Department & Captain Micheal Sauicer and Roosevelt March who is the Chaplain & Sergeant At Arms with the Mississippi Deputy Sheriff Association are sending a Salute to Fallen Deputy Sheriff Martin Shields Jr. Along with a prayer for the Family and The Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones and his Department.

Our Heavenly Father, we come before You today in sorrowful times to honor and remember the lives of all the police officers who have fallen. We thank You for these brave men and women's ultimate sacrifice, which they gave to protect us. Lord Jesus, grant eternal rest unto their souls and receive them with open arms into Thy loving embrace. May their loved ones be comforted by Your Holy Word and find solace in knowing that a life that was taken
too soon still serves as an example of courage and true love for those left behind on earth.
Almighty God, bring peace to our streets so that no one else has to suffer from such painful loss again. Protect our brothers-in-blue so they may fearlessly serve justice with courage, even against danger and death. Assist them as they endeavor tirelessly to keep our communities safe or free from harm or evil. We pray that those affected by this Tragedy finds the strength needed throughout these difficult days ahead Amen.
