Sometimes, the Holy Spirit has a way of leading us exactly where we need to be!

Joe was scheduled to speak at Pilgrim Lutheran Church on Sunday, but a last-minute change led him to Crossroads Baptist Church in Gilbert, where he was welcomed with open arms and invited to share about Mission Lexington during their 25th anniversary celebration!

What began as an unexpected visit turned into a beautiful opportunity to connect, share our mission, and explore future partnerships in serving our community. From conversations about our new facility and the promise of what’s ahead to the shared desire to serve others, the connections were truly remarkable.

We’re grateful for these spirit-led moments and the churches that come alongside us to make a difference in Lexington County. Sometimes, the detours are part of God’s plan!

Thank you to Pastor Tommy Burkett for allowing us the opportunity to share more about our Mission and to Joe for being a leader in Church partnerships and dedicating your time.

Thank you for your support!

A LOOK BACK AT GO WEEK WITH MT. HOREB! ❤️

Our Mission Lexington team had the privilege of leading a Poverty Simulation for GO Week at Mt. Horeb, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of the challenges many of our neighbors face every day.

But they didn’t stop there! They also took time out of their week to serve right here at Mission Lexington, putting their faith into action and making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Life can change in an instant. Unexpected circumstances can leave families struggling to afford childcare, pay rent, put food on the table, and meet their most basic needs.

Through experiences like these, we are reminded that behind every struggle is a person, a family, and a story.

At Mission Lexington, we believe it takes a community to make a difference. Together, we can surround our neighbors with care, encouragement, resources, and guidance when life takes an unexpected turn.

A huge thank-you to Mt. Horeb for spending the week learning, serving, and living out what it means to love your neighbor. We are grateful to be part of a community that puts faith into action!
