Hope Center

Hope Center HOPE STARTS HERE. The Hope Center is Lexington’s leading resource for recovery, shelter, housing, and support. That’s true, but it’s so much more.

We serve those facing addiction, homelessness, and crisis with dignity and hope. Since 1993, the Hope Center’s mission has been to care for those experiencing homelessness, substance use disorder, and mental illness by providing life-sustaining and life-rebuilding services that are comprehensive and address underlying causes. The Hope Center is widely known as a homeless shelter. It’s not enough t

o only provide the homeless in our community with a place to get off the street; we must also provide them with the tools they need to stay off the street. The root causes of homelessness vary widely. That is why our programs are so important. Each person who enters our doors is valuable and unique. Our goal is to provide each one with the tools they need to rebuild their lives.

Success doesn't happen alone.

At One Parent Scholar House, we believe every parent deserves more than a place to live. They deserve a team of people who believe in their potential and are invested in their future.

That's why we do more than provide affordable housing. We connect residents with resources, educational opportunities, community partners, childcare support, financial guidance, and personalized encouragement every step of the way. When challenges arise, we're there. When milestones are reached, we're celebrating right alongside them.

Our goal isn't simply to help parents earn a degree. It's to help them build the confidence, stability, and support system needed to create lasting success for themselves and their children.

Because when someone knows they have people in their corner who genuinely care about their goals, incredible things can happen.

✨ More than housing. More than resources. A community committed to your success.

A huge THANK YOU to TEMA and Toyota for spending the day serving at One Parent Scholar House last week!

Thirty-two dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves and spent four hours helping beautify our property by picking up trash, w**d eating, trimming bushes and trees, planting flowers, spreading mulch, and painting and priming several areas. Their efforts transformed our campus into a brighter, more welcoming place for the families we serve.

We would also like to give a special shoutout to APHIX for generously donating the beautiful flowers that helped bring new life and color to our property.

We are incredibly grateful to every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and resources to support our mission and our families. Thank you for making a lasting impact!

We were honored to attend the University of Kentucky Men's Basketball Servant Leadership Dinner at Rupp Arena and share the mission of The Hope Center with players, coaches, and community leaders from across the Commonwealth.

A special thank you to .knight and Craft Philanthropy for creating opportunities that connect servant leaders with organizations making a difference in Kentucky communities. We are also grateful to Joe and Kelly Craft for their continued commitment to generosity, leadership, and service.

The evening provided an opportunity to share how The Hope Center helps individuals and families overcome homelessness, addiction, and other barriers through housing, recovery programs, and supportive services. More importantly, it sparked meaningful conversations about how community leaders can use their influence, time, and talents to create lasting impact.

We were honored to join , the UK Men's Basketball team, and so many others who are committed to making Kentucky stronger, healthier, and more hopeful for all.

Today and every day, we honor the resilience, courage, and determination of the women in our Women’s Recovery Program who are choosing healing and a new path forward.

Many of the women we serve are overcoming challenges such as homelessness, trauma, and substance use while working to rebuild their lives. Each day, they show incredible strength as they commit to recovery, restore relationships, and take steps toward stability and independence.

At The Hope Center, women are surrounded by a supportive community that believes in their potential and walks alongside them every step of the way. When women are given the space and support to heal, transformation follows, not just for them, but for the families and futures connected to their journey.

💙 Join us in celebrating and supporting the brave women pursuing recovery and renewal. Learn more or get involved at hopectr.org.

Every new season brings the chance to grow

Spring reminds us that renewal is always possible. Just as nature begins again with new growth and fresh energy, many individuals are stepping into new seasons of stability, healing, and recovery.
For those overcoming homelessness, addiction, or life challenges, change doesn’t happen overnight. Growth takes time, encouragement, and access to meaningful support. With safe housing, recovery programs, and compassionate community connections, individuals gain the tools needed to rebuild confidence, set goals, and move toward long-term independence.

At The Hope Center, every new beginning represents perseverance and hope taking root. Each step forward, securing employment, entering recovery, reconnecting with loved ones, or finding permanent housing, marks the start of a brighter season ahead.
This spring, you can help create opportunities for growth and transformation in our community.
Help someone step into a new season of hope by donating, volunteering, or learning more at hopectr.org.

One Parent Scholar House is a place to grow. 💙

Every day, we have the privilege of walking alongside incredible single parents who are working tirelessly to create brighter futures for themselves and their children.

At One Parent Scholar House, we provide more than affordable housing. We provide encouragement on difficult days, support through life's challenges, and a community that genuinely cares. We celebrate academic milestones, cheer on personal victories, and help parents navigate the journey toward a college degree, career advancement, and long-term stability.

Our team takes the time to know each resident, understand their goals, and help connect them with the resources they need to succeed. Because when a parent succeeds, an entire family benefits.

The women in our program are resilient, determined, and inspiring. We're honored to be part of their story and to help create opportunities that can impact generations to come.

✨ More than housing. More than support. A foundation for the future.
